The annual Out of the Darkness Community Walk is held at 2 p.m. Oct. 11 at Greer City Park in Greer to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s local and national programs and its goal to reduce the annual rate of suicide 20 percent by 2025. Carrot Tops on Keowee, a festival for redheads and all who love them, is held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 17 at Hidden Cove at Lake Keowee, 150 Keowee Marina Drive in Seneca.
