LIBERTY — Chastain Road Elementary students were recently recognized for striving to succeed by trying hard, giving 100 percent, and learning from their mistakes. The school-wide classroom management plan at CRE revolves around five character traits – C (Care), O (Ownership), L (Learn), T (Teamwork), and S (Strive to Succeed).

During the fifth week of school, classes focused on the fifth character trait — Strive — and one boy and one girl were chosen from each grade level as two students who tried hard and gave it their best throughout the week.

C.O.L.T.S. of the Week for week five were Gage Bruce and Payton Leopard (Kindergarten), Evan Holder and Cassidy Falcon (first grade), Mac Bigbee and Jasmine Valencia (second grade), Blake Bruce and Lilly White (third grade), Jason Denney and Emmily Ni (fourth grade), and Carson Owens and Jala Gilliard (fifth grade).
