Alma Carter Scholarship winners announced


The Easley Piano Teachers Forum held its annual Alma Carter Scholarship Auditions on March 14 at Pickens First Baptist Church. Students were judged on their overall piano performance. Judges were Joan Parker and Dr. Mark Parker on the Music Faculty of Bob Jones University.

EASLEY — The Easley Piano Teachers Forum held its annual Alma Carter Scholarship Auditions on March 14 at Pickens First Baptist Church. Students were judged on their overall piano performance. Judges were Joan Parker and Dr. Mark Parker on the Music Faculty of Bob Jones University. The winners were as follows:

Division I

First place: Abigail Martin, taught by Judy Granger. Parent: Robert H. and Deborah Martin

Second place: Avril Adams, taught by Judy Granger. Parents: Brooks and Amanda Adams.

Third place: Max Knutson, taught by Gilda Hendricks. Parents: Tomm and Heather Knutson

Honorable Mention: Emileigh Bolton, taught by Judy Granger: Parents: Heath and Michelle Bolton

Division II

First place: Hunter Stewart, taught by Gilda Hendricks: Parents: Jeff and Tina Stewart
