WALHALLA — The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Liberty man at the end of last week on multiple charges, which included two warrants related to drugs.

Andrew Cory Stone, 29, of Jameson Drive was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 2:07 a.m. Friday.

A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division responded last Thursday night to an address on Lawrence Bridge Road in response to reports of a disturbance in which the suspect, identified as Stone, had broken a window at the residence.

Deputies located Stone inside of the residence. Dispatchers were able to confirm that the victim did not want Stone at the residence and Stone was placed on a trespass notice while also being arrested for damaging the window to the residence.

During a search of Stone, officers found a prescription bottle that contained a large quantity of pills.

Stone was taken to Oconee Memorial Hospital for treatment of an injury resulting from breaking the window and was then transported to the Detention Center.

While being booked in at the Detention Center, officers found a plastic bag on Stone that contained a substance believed to be marijuana.

Deputies charged Stone with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance (Oxycodone), simple possession of marijuana (second offense) and introduction of contraband into a detention facility. Stone was also issued a traffic ticket on charges of malicious injury to person property.

Stone remained in the Detention Center late Monday on a combined $17,000 surety bond on three of the charges. He was also given a $2,000 personal recognizance bond on the malicious injury charge.
