CLEMSON — Leadership Clemson’s 2016 class raised more than $19,500 for its project — earning it the honor of being the class to raise the most of any Leadership Clemson class.

The 2016 class chose Helping Hands and set as its goal raising enough money to buy 40 beds for a new facility currently being built in Central.

The Clemson Community Foundation and other donors helped the class members raise $19,519, more than enough to cover the cost.

Members of the class included Romando James, Marjorie Luke, Mike Teague, Marjorie Perez, Sarah Gray Creager, Jacqui Aurich, West Cox, Beverly Coleman, Eric Lambert, Jerry Lusk, Kade Herrick, Chris Bobo, Nancy King, Joe Yaksich and Leslie Hicklin. The leadership development speaker was Don Karns.
