EASLEY – Twenty-one local leaders recently graduated as members of Leadership Pickens County Class of 2016.

Sponsored by the chambers of commerce in Pickens County, LPC provides a framework of experiences for emerging community leaders to become more informed and actively involved in the decision-making processes of their community.

LPC consists of nine monthly full-day sessions to address areas of leadership skills, diversity, education, government, healthcare, community service, tourism/recreation, and economic development. The program is open to anyone who lives or works in Pickens County.

The Class of 2016 included LeAnne Alewine of GHS/Safe Kids Upstate; Suzanne Bixby of Pickens County YMCA; Beverly Brackett of Pickens County Library System; Austin Canfield of Clemson Area Chamber of Commerce; Lawson Clary of 5 Point Church; Anna Connelly of SC Vocational Rehabilitation; Billy Crawford of Hagood Mill; and Alex Dye of South State Bank.

Also, Taylor Etcheson of Sealevel Systems; Will Grant of Cannon Memorial Hospital; Jonathan Hamby of the Easley Police Department; Zachary Hinton of Blue Ridge Electric Co-operative; Ken Hitchcock of Pickens County Career & Technology Center; Wallace Krebs of Sealevel Systems; and Kristin Ledford of Pickens County Advocacy Center.

And Tyler Morgan of Easley Combined Utilities; Charlie Phelps of Sealevel Systems; Zach Price of Baptist Easley Hospital Foundation; Stephen Steese of the City of Easley; Sara Trinkl of The Parenting Place; and Greta Young of The Parenting Place.
