ANDERSON – The Easter Bunny made a surprise visit to pediatric and cancer patients at AnMed Women’s and Children’s Hospital on April 13.
This is the 13th year that the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office has assisted the Easter Bunny in his rounds of taking pictures and delivering toys to the hospital’s patients. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office was the first sheriff’s office in South Carolina to participate in the yearly visits.
The Easter Bunny Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a personal visit and a toy from the Easter Bunny during the week of Easter to children in children’s hospitals and pediatric wards across the United States; to share with others the excitement and wonderment that only a personal visit with The Easter Bunny can bring; and to deliver a smile to all who we come in contact with.
Anderson County Sheriff Chad McBride escorted the Easter Bunny around to visit the patients this year. Representatives from Pepsi were also on hand to deliver drinks to the patients and families of those patients.
