Anderson seniors can now learn to tap dance

ANDERSON COUNTY — The Anderson County Senior Citizens Program is now offering a beginners tap class that will be taught by Fritzie Wagner in the OverEasy Studio.

Classes will held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 10. A donation of $2 or more per class to participate is requested. The class is limited to first 20 to sign up.

Participants must have Capezio tap shoes with at least a one-heel and taps, which are sold separately and can be ordered online through Amazon. The taps can be put on by Victor Koval at Alteration & Shoe Repair at 3420 Clemson Boulevard in Anderson.

Wagner, 77, worked 20 years for Art Linkletter dance studios in Chicago as head teacher for the Midwest and Southwest dance studios, training teachers in all aspects of dance. Her specialty is tap and jazz. She’s been dancing since she was 3.
