CLEMSON — The Clemson University Tiger Band helps add to the excitement of football weekends with the Tiger Band Kidz Klub and 90 Minutes Before Kickoff this season.

The Tiger Band Kidz Klub gives children the chance to get an up-close look at the talents and instruments of Tiger Band. It is open to all children aged 1 to 13 and their parents. Meetings are held at 5 p.m. on Fridays before each home football game on the band practice field. This season, meetings will be Sept. 22, Oct. 6, Oct. 27, and Nov. 10 and Nov. 17.

The Kidz Klub provides an in-depth look at the instruments Tiger Band musicians play and participation in band activities. Kids can even help the band practice the “most exciting 25 seconds in college football” by playing the roles of the Clemson football players.

The band practice field is located at Perimeter and Cherry roads next to the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts parking lot. Please be aware that the Tiger Band Kidz Club cannot be responsible for unsupervised children.

Tiger Band will hold its “90 Minutes Before Kickoff” concerts on home football Saturdays. The concert, which is also a pep rally, will take place at the outdoor amphitheater near the reflection pond at the center of campus.

One-and-a-half hours before kickoff, Tiger Band will perform classics from their repertoire, such as “Tiger Rag” and “Eye of the Tiger,” as well as contemporary songs and half-time show highlights before making its traditional march down Fort Hill Street to Memorial Stadium.

Check local listings for kickoff times.
