EASLEY – Baptist Easley Hospital will be a drop-off site during the National Pill Take-Back Day on Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Unwanted pills can be dropped off at Baptist Easley Hospital’s Outpatient (front) entrance, 200 Fleetwood Drive.

This is an opportunity for the public to rid their homes of potentially dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Medicines left in cabinets of area homes are subject to misuse and abuse and even theft. The day’s service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. The drugs will be disposed of safely without harm to the environment.

National Pill Take-Back Day is sponsored by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, the Easley Police Department, the Clemson Police Department, Steppin’ It Up Coalition, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, and Cannon Memorial Hospital, along with Baptist Easley.
