Volleyball camp

EASLEY — Two more sessions remain in the Number One Volleyball Camp directed by former Pickens High School head volleyball coach Peggy Anthony.

Session 4, for rising fifth- through eighth-graders, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 1 through Aug. 4. Session 5, for rising seventh- through eighth-graders, will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 1 through Aug. 4.

All camps will be held at the Pickens Recreation Gymnasium, 545 Sangamo Road in Pickens. Brochures are available in Easley at the Larry Bagwell Gymnasium, in Pickens at the Pickens Rec and JD Sports; in Liberty at the Liberty Rec Center; and in Dacusville at the Dacusville Rec Center.

Day Camp 2016

PICKENS – The Pickens Recreation Center will holds its last two 2016 Summer Day Camps from Aug. 1 through Aug. 5 and Aug. 8 through Aug. 12.

Camps will be from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Pickens Recreation Center, 545 Sangamo Road in Pickens. Camps are for youth ages 6 to 12, or those who have completed 5K kindergarten through rising seventh-graders.

The cost is $70 per child per week and $40 per child for a half week. The price will be adjusted for extra siblings who sign up for the week-long session. Registration is $35.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Transportation will not be provided for field trips but on-site activities will be held each week. Call 864-868-2296 for more information.

Fall volleyball, soccer

PICKENS — Registration for fall volleyball will be accepted through Aug. 5 at the Pickens Recreation Center, 545 Sangamo Road in Pickens. Age divisions are 7-9, 10-12, 13 & 14 and 15-17. The birthday cut-off is Sept. 1.

The fee is $45 for in-city residents and $55 for out-of-city residents. Birth certificates are required at registration. Call 864-878-2296 for more information. A skills and evaluation day will be held for each age division.
