EASLEY — The Easley Green Wave should be well rested following the bye week as they prepare to play host to visiting Woodmont.

Woodmont (4-6, 2-2) is coming off a tough 26-14 loss against TL Hanna but if Easley is thinking this game is going to be a walk in the park, they’re in for a surprise.

The Wildcats are sitting a couple of games on the wrong side of a winning season but have the schedule — and the opportunity — to make it up by finishing up the 2016 season strong.

Prior to the bye week, the Green Wave was hit hard in the mouth with a devastating 46-7 loss on the road in Anderson.

Easley (3-5, 0-2) is still searching for their first division win following losses to both Westside and Hanna. Woodmont, followed by Mann, are their last chances.

Easley is currently ranked at 74 in the state, a reversal from where they sat in the state rankings last year at 47.

Kickoff for Easley versus Woodmont is at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 21.

Following a bye week, the Easley Green Wave is looking to get back on the gridiron in this week’s game against Woodmont.
