Mason King, left, and Rick Baumgarner, minister of Easley First Baptist Baptist Church, are all smiles at McKissick Elementary School after Easley First Baptist Church and 5 Point Church teamed up to provide every student at McKissick Elementary with a new pair of shoes and socks. The shoes were ordered through Fleet Feet of Greenville with money raised through a bike ride and 5K race held this past fall. Volunteers from the two churches and Fleet Feet were on hand to help put the shoes on the children’s feet at the school. See page 9 for more photos from the event.
