EASLEY — In a ceremony at the First United Methodist Church, Will Betsill was presented the Eagle Scout award, which is the highest rank on the Boy Scouts of America.

Betsill is a scout at Troop 37, sponsored by the First Baptist Church of Easley, with Bryan Dickardserving as scoutmaster.

A senior at Easley High School, Betsill has participated in the marching band, wind ensemble and jazz band. He has also been selected for All-County Band and the S.C. Band Directors Association Region Band.

He is a member of Tri M Music Honor Society and the National Honor Society.

Betsill is a member of Easley First United Methodist Church, where he is active in the Methodist Youth Fellowship.

In the Fall, he will attend Clemson University where he plans to major in Biochemistry.
