PICKENS — Officials at the YMCA of Easley, Pickens and Powdersville were excited to introduce Tiffany Mullinax as the new Branch Executive for for Pickens YMCA.
Members of the community are invited to visit the branch for a meet and greet on Thursday, July 26.
The gathering will take place during two times: 9 a.m. to noon and 4-7 p.m. in the lobby of the Pickens YMCA, which is 2223 Gentry Memorial Highway in Pickens.
“I am thrilled to join the Y as the new Pickens Branch Executive, and I’m looking forward to getting to know more of the Y family at the meet and greet,” Mullinax said. “Through the Y, I’m looking forward to building a stronger Pickens community together.”
Mullinax joins the Y with extensive experience in management and program development in the health and wellness industry, Y officials said. She comes to the Pickens YMCA from Waterstone on Augusta, where she was Director of Community Life.
Prior to her time there, she served at Wesley Commons in Greenwood, S.C., a faith-based non-profit, for more than a decade in the roles of Wellness Manager and Fitness Assistant, they said.

She will bring new excitement to the branch and the Pickens community.”
According to her bio, in addition to her work experience, Mullinax also brings certifications in exercise physiology, yoga, aerobics, group exercise, barre and First Aid and CPR instruction.
She has also been active in the community during her career, serving on the Board of Directors for the Lakelands Lifelong Learning Network, participating in Leadership Greenwood and the United Way Young Leaders Society, and working with the Humane Society of Greenwood, the Alzheimer’s Association and the Memory Walk Committee.
“Actively working to make my community a better place has always been important to me,” Mullinax said. “I’m so happy to be part of the Y mission that provides me that same opportunity in my new home of Pickens.”
