PICKENS — A Pickens man has been charged with Attempted Murder following a shooting at a trailer park on Dublin Lane.

According to arrest reports, Pickens County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to reports of a gunshot victim at a residence on Dublin Lane at approximately 9 a.m. Thursday morning.

PCSO Chief Deputy Creed Hashe stated the preliminary investigation indicated multiple adults were at a mobile home when a verbal dispute escalated to one person being shot in the leg with a single barrel shotgun.

The gun was recovered at the scene, he said.

“The investigation has determined that two men who are unrelated but live at the same residence were engaged in an argument involving other individuals at the home,” said Hashe. “One of the two men retrieved a shotgun and fired one shell at the victim striking him in the legs.”

The victim is expected to recover from his injuries, officials said.

Later that afternoon detectives charged 61-year-old Terry Alton Moore at the Law Enforcement Center after conducting interviews with various witnesses as well as the 38-year-old victim.

Moore is currently detained in the Pickens County Detention Center charged with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime.

Bond was denied, officials said.
