POWDERSVILLE — At a recent Board Meeting, Powdersville Water approved the appointment of Kyle Dillard to its board of directors and elected Jimmy Williams as the new board chairman.

Dillard holds a law degree from the University of South Carolina and an undergraduate degree from Furman University. He is a shareholder with Ogletree Deakins law firm.

In addition to serving on the Powdersville Water Advisory Committee, Dillard has also been active in other areas of the community.

He is an active member of the Easley Chamber of Commerce, the Powdersville Business Council, and the Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas.

He and his wife, Jennifer, have lived in the Powdersville community for 15 years. They have two children.

“I am pleased to welcome someone of this caliber to our Board of Directors,” said Williams. “Kyle’s knowledge of the community and his other skill sets will make him a very valuable member of this Board. I look forward to working with him.”

Williams replaced Phil Landreth who has served as chairman for five years. Landreth will continue to serve on the board in other capacity.

“It has been a pleasure serving the Powdersville community in this role and I really enjoy working with the members of this board,” Landreth said. “And I am pleased that I can turn this position over to someone with Jimmy William’s character and ability.”
