The nights — which span the length of the series — are due to kick off opening night, July 29, with “Little League Night.”
Area Little League players who don their jerseys for the series will snag free entry to the game. In addition, all little league players in attendance will be invited to come out on the field and perform the Little League Pledge prior to the 7:30 game.
Participants are asked to drop by the first base dugout at 6:45 p.m. for further instructions.
On Monday, July 31, the SLBWS plans to recognize all of those who play a role in educating young people.
“Only 0.45 percent of high school players go on to play professional baseball,” a spokesperson said. “The rarity of actually playing pro baseball makes an athlete’s education priceless. Each athlete’s life has been positively affected by a teacher, coach, cafeteria worker, bus driver, or custodian. If you work for in the education system in any capacity, this night is for you.”
Participants are just asked to show identification to receive free entrance for their entire family.
Free fidgit spinners will be given to the first 100 kids through the gate on Aug. 3 and the following night, Aug. 4, is “First Responder’s Night” where all first responders and their families will receive free admission through the main gate.
Military Appreciation Night caps off the Series’ promotional nights on Saturday, Aug. 5.
“Senior League Baseball World would like to thank all veterans and those currently serving in our Armed Forces for the many sacrifices they make to protect the citizens of our great country,” they said. “To show our appreciation, please make plans to attend the SLBWS as our guests. Report to the main gate, show your military ID and you and your family will be given free admission to the games.”
