Varner was charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Psilocybin Mushrooms). She also had an outstanding bench warrant.

Wilson was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine.

According to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office:

Deputies from the Uniform Patrol Division involved in a separate investigation responded to the Peachtree Lane address as part of that continuing investigation. While looking for a person of interest in the separate investigation, deputies received permission from Wilson to search for that individual.

Deputies made their way to a camper on the property to an individual identified as Welborn who possibly had information regarding locating the person of interest in the separate ongoing investigation. Deputies observed someone take off running and after being ordered to stop, deputies could hear people in a shed on the property near the camper. Deputies knocked on the shed and after the subjects inside had left the shed; deputies smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the shed.

As the investigation continued, Wilson threw a bottle to the ground that contained a quantity of methamphetamine. A check with dispatch revealed that Welborn and Varner had outstanding bench warrants as well.

After receiving written consent, deputies and agents from the Narcotics Division searched the property and discovered more narcotics on the property, including inside the camper.
