Ride to the Rock set for Sept. 16

PICKENS — On Sept. 16, the Pickens Rotary Club will host the Ride to the Rock cycling event.

The ride begins in Pickens and challenges riders with three routes to choose from: 40k, 60K, and 100K rides.

The 2017 rides will leave from the Pickens Amphitheater located at 114 W. Main St. in Pickens and travel north to S.C. 11 with views of Table Rock Mountain.

The Metric Century (100K) also climbs Caesars Head before returning to Pickens. The rides are fully supported with a SAG (Support and Gear) vehicle and rest stops. Day of ride registration begins at 8 a.m. at the Amphitheater and the ride will start at 9 a.m.

This year we will have a beer garden and music. All riders will receive a complimentary post ride meal from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. A complimentary T-shirt will be included for all pre-registered riders.

All funds raised from Ride to the Rock will go to fund Pickens Rotary projects.
