EASLEY — The Pickens County Library System will host a Fall Local Author Showcase from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at the Hampton Memorial Library in Easley.
Space is limited to 15 authors who will meet and greet local readers, display and sell their books, and keep all proceeds from sales.
To be considered for the Showcase, authors must be a current Pickens, Greenville, Anderson, or Oconee county resident who has published a book(s) within the past three years (including self-published, but excluding eBooks) and submit the following to Attn: Programming Librarian, 304 Biltmore Road, Easley, SC 29640:
1. Name, phone number, email address
2. One copy of your book(s). With the exception of poetry books, only books with proper bookbinding will be accepted. No pamphlets, brochures, or stapled material will be accepted.
3. Copies of professional reviews of your book(s) if applicable
4. Copies of news articles or publicity about your book(s) if applicable
The deadline for submitting book(s) for possible inclusion in the Showcase is Oct. 2. All authors will be notified electronically by Oct. 9 regarding submissions.
