PICKENS — A new doc in town can treat all your ear, nose and throat complaints thanks to The Cannon Memorial Hospital Board presenting a $100,000 check to AnMed Health Cannon and Dr. Kimberly Ostrowski.
The donation, a gift from the CMH Foundation, is designated to help with the costs of establishing a new practice and for specific surgical equipment, said Kathryn Gravely, director of community relations for AHC.
With the addition of Ostrowski, who joined AHC in June, AnMed Health Cannon Medicus ENT will begin seeing patients at her offices located at 885 Tiger Boulevard in Clemson.
“The needs of our community and hospital are first and foremost as our Board seeks to make a significant impact on our community,” said Foundation Chair Liza Holder. “Adding a new ENT practice for Pickens County was a need that we heard from both the community and our hospital. We are excited to make such a large financial contribution to make AnMed Health Cannon Medicus ENT a reality.”
AnMed Health Cannon’s CEO Brandon Clary echoed Holder’s statements adding he was pleased the organization has continued to grow and to explore new avenues to better impact the health of the greater Pickens County area.
“We sincerely appreciate the continued support of our Foundation as AnMed Health Cannon grows and we are looking forward to our continued success with Dr. Kimberly Ostrowski,” Clary said. “We realize that in today’s health environment, it is as important to address the day to day preventive health of a person, instead of simply focusing on a patient when they are ill and seeking medical condition. In the coming year, we are focusing our attention even closer to this purpose. Today’s gift from the Foundation is a great start and we are grateful.”
According to her biography on the AHC website, Ostrowski received her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine before completing her residency in otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery at Michigan State University’s McLaren Oakland Medical Center.
She is board certified in Otolaryngology.
Ostrowski also earned a master’s degree in basic medical science from Wayne State University in Detroit. She received her undergraduate degree, a bachelor of science in Biopsychology and Cognitive Science, from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI.
Her special interests in ENT include sinus disease and allergy management and working with pediatric patients.
