CLEMSON — Graphics Communications alumni will be able to stop by Godfrey Hall at Clemson University Saturday and screen print their own Tiger Rags.

It’s one of the many activities on campus this Homecoming weekend as Clemson Tigers past and present will once again flock to campus to celebrate their alma mater.

The graphic communications department is planning to make it a memorable and very visible Homecoming for their alumni.

Other activities on campus include many tailgates and parties celebrating clubs, groups and colleges; the 61st Tigerama float-building contest; the Clemson University chapter of Habitat for Humanity’s home-building project; and, of course, Saturday’s football game against Wake Forest.

“Our department theme this year is Coming Home to ClemsonGC and we’ll have family-friendly activities and takeaways for everyone,” said assistant professor Erica Walker.

“Some of the stations this year include a printed, foldable 3D Godfrey Hall; a photo booth with student-made corrugated props and the photos that will be live-printed for guests; and everyone will get to screen print their own Tiger Rag,” she added.

Graphic Communications alumni also will be welcomed by nine 18-by-5-foot banners designed by Digital Media Design students that will hang on the exterior of the Godfrey Hall and create one large graphic visible from Bowman Field.

The entire event is planned by graduate students and both graduates and undergraduates help prepare Godfrey and run each station during the day.
