Ag Museum hosting ‘AGventure Day’ on Oct. 21

PENDLETON — “AG”venture Day will be held at the Bart Garrison Agricultural Museum of South Carolina from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 21.

The one day mini-camp is designed for ages 6 through 12 and costs $5 per child.

The theme for this “AG”venture is animals. Depending on the age of the child, all activities will revolve around chickens, pigs, insects, bees, butterflies and pollination.

Registration is required for this activity day. Interested parents should contact Ellen Harrison at 864-207-0705 or email ellen@crownofthecarolinas.org.

The physical address of the museum is 120 History Lane in Pendleton. Regular open hours are noon to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.

During football season, the museum is closed on the Saturdays of Clemson University home games, but is open from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. that Sunday.

Admission during open hours is free, although donations are appreciated. Groups and schools interested in private tours should send an email to Harrison at ellen@crownofthecarolinas.org.
