EASLEY — A 27-year-old man from Charlotte is being held in custody after a high-speed car chase ended in Easley.

According to the Anderson County Sheriffs’s Office, The chase began around the Highway 76 area of Anderson County after deputies responded to calls reporting break-ins.

According to incident reports, the men were seen breaking a window to gain entry to a truck parked on Interstate Boulevard.

The officers chased two suspects in a single vehicle into Easley. Reports state during the chase, the suspects illegally passed vehicles, ran red lights and entered intersections without stopping.

The pursuit came to an end when officers corralled the vehicle onto a dead-end road near the Auston Woods Apartment buildings. It was there officials say the men ditched their car and fled on foot.

The Easley Police Department and K-9 units responded, taking Andre Deleon Glover into custody.

The second suspect is still at large.

Glover is charged with reckless driving and failure to stop for blue lights, according to the ACSO. He remains in custody.
