PICKENS COUNTY — Parade season is already well underway County-wide but if you happened to have missed Central’s, Liberty’s or Six Mile’s, not to worry. There’s still plenty of holiday cheer to go ‘round.

The city of Clemson is ringing in the season with their holiday parade on Thursday, Dec. 7.

The parade was re-scheduled due to the threat of rain and performers and their floats will begin their windy path at 6 p.m.

Down at this of the County, Pickens will be hosting their annual parade the following night, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m.

Attendees can expect the usual delights such as antique cars, tossed candy and dancing troupes.

In Easley, the parade is once again being out on by The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce. It is set to kick off on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. Floats lined up for the event include area churches, marching bands and local scouting troops.

In all, 70 entries have been approved by the Parade Committee, marking an all time high for the event.

Immediately following the parade will be the Grand Illumination held this year in Old Market Square.

Santa has also graciously donated some of his valuable time to pose for photographs in the amphitheater from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 15 and 16, 22 and 23.

He will also be hanging around to say hello after the parade.

Additionally, Santa’s sleigh will be positioned at the Christopherson Gazebo for take-your-own family portraits.

If a early afternoon parade is more your style, then head on up to Dacusville for their annual celebration of the Christmas season.

The parade begins at 2 p.m. and includes all horses, tractors and local businesses you can shake a candy cane at.

Santa will also be available at the Dacusville Recreation Center for little ones to relay their Christmas wishes to.
