EASLEY — A School District of Pickens County special needs school bus overturned on Thursday afternoon just off of Farrs Bridge Road, said district Information Specialist John Eby.

No serious injuries were reported.

According to the district, the accident happened at 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Jim Hunt and Albatross Road.

Two students, a driver and a bus companion were reported as passengers.

District officials stated the parents of the students were at the scene and everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.

“There were no major visible injuries at the time of the accident, but one of the adults has been transported by EMS,” said Eby. “The student’s parents came to the scene and took them home.”

Both children are students at Dacusville Elementary, he stated.

“We are very relieved that the incident did not result in more serious injury, and that at this time, the students appear to be unharmed,” Eby said.

Additional details will be released as the story develops.
