Twenty-seven juniors from Daniel, Easley, Liberty and Pickens high schools graduated May 19 from Junior Leadership Pickens County. The program consists of five full-day sessions of leadership skills training and community awareness modules. In addition, each student is assigned to a committee responsible for a community or leadership project.

PICKENS – Twenty-seven juniors from Daniel, Easley, Liberty and Pickens high schools graduated May 19 from Junior Leadership Pickens County.

Facilitated by the chambers of commerce in Pickens County, JLPC assists in the development of future leaders by providing programs to acquaint students with community successes and challenges; encouraging acceptance of civic responsibility and leadership roles; fostering development of leadership and communication skills; and increasing volunteerism and community involvement.
