CHESNEE – The Liberty Red Devils lost last week’s match-up against the Chesnee Eagles 35-21, leaving the Red Devils still in the hunt for a regional victory.

Liberty (1-5, 0-3), having lost their previous two games, was looking to turn the tide on the Eagles, a team that has also been struggling this season.

Chesnee (2-4, 2-1) had just come off a big 63-35 win at Carolina Academy and the momentum was in their favor. Both teams had some big scoring drives in the fast-paced highly offensive game but it was the Eagles who came out on top, out scoring the Devils by two touchdowns.

Next up for Liberty is hosting the Blacksburg Wildcats on Oct. 9 where the Red Devils will have yet another shot at snagging a regional win.

Blacksburg (3-3, 1-2) is coming off a 13-7 home victory against Carolina Academy last week.
